Apr 4 Tigernach d. 549

Thommy and John

Good morning
I love you

Sunshine and more warmth on the way.
The buds have turned to tiny leaves.
‘twas a half moon last night and a full sun today.
The carolina blue sky fills the background above the horizon of the hill.
Much quieter now - an occasional chirping conversation long after the dawn’s chorale symphony.

Happy Saturday!

What’s up with you? What ya doing? Whom with? Why them? What’s next?

Happy palm Sunday eve!

I’m off to the Y, having slept in too long for first Saturday mass - maybe later.

It’s a sparse day for our saints criteria….

April 4
Tigernach d. 549

Brigid sees a watch of angels above the house. She asked who was there. "One young warrior is there," says the attendant. "Look thou still," quoth Brigid. He looks. "There is," he says, "a little infant in the young warrior's bosom." "Good is the infant," says Brigid. Brigid goes into the guest-house, and the child is baptized, and Brigid holds him at the baptism….

The bard, the poet, the seanachie gets us the story…. Tigernach is found by the Mary of the Gaels - pointed out to her by a watch of angels above the house….. Good is the infant! What better proclamation can one receive; would one want for one’s own infant?

Twice I saw the same angels and prayed the same proclamation….

This Irish son of the warrior, Tigernach was educated in Scotland. Educated. And Irish trait, for all of our sons and daughters from the beginning… to be given the opportunity and then to seize it with all of our talents and resources….

Tigernach was a monk at Clones and then in 506 elected third bishop of Clogher [Patrick first, Maccartin second]. What are the progressive steps from here to where you wish to be? In whose footsteps will you follow? Choose well, choose Good….

I love you
